First off your textures aren't crappy... I know because I have those exact same ones... secondly... you just need to learn to define you textures more... using UV controls and light.

ok i improved the lighting, but i still tried to keep the moody look...
I tried to get that "natural look" as seen on Advent Children etc...
it makes it look a bit bland so... i'll see wha ...

I've been messing around
ok so its not exactly lit in deled but everything else is deled, the textures are the default deled ones...100% modelled in deled textured too...
bump maps = image settings ...

@ Jearoen, no optomise yet, BUT I discovered the import .obj and the hide tool!

I'm not sure how I canme up with this model, don't care... I'm going to keep going till its done.

This will replace the emptiness on the lower sides of the cathedral which you cannot see in the screenshots provided. Although One of the screenshots is taken from this area. The geometry will change ...
