could you see if a plug-in might be written for a Collada export with animation support? Collada is also a major standard in the gaming world.

Is Collada your only option?

Yes, the flight sim I'm working with will import Collada directly, saving me any "import" of articulated models into the game engine.

Hinge angle: just placing a joint somewhere doesn't define the angle, especially if the parts involved aren't straight along ...

Just adding some weight to the burning need for this.

You just HAVE TO be able to "get into" a detailed model in 3D view.

Spin, walk, whatever you want to call it... it all ...
