Hello all,
First off, I am not a 3d modeller guy, I am a programmer. I have a couple of questions like a noob. I have used Cartography to design some levels in the free version (which you can't save), I have been a Pro version holder of DeleD for a while. If I create a base floor model of a level using rectangles, what is the best way to "trace" the outlines of these rectangles to create walls?
Second, I Granada seems to do un-real drawings with this software. I looked at your basic street level, how do you get the rounded corners on anything.

Grab all the edges and extrude them upwards. Then you might need to flip a few polygons to get them to face the right way. _________________

Nice to see you're bringing up splines as I was thinking if DeleD should have such splines too. How many of you would like to model worlds like that? |

Drawing with splines would make creating architectural models so much easier!! And if you can use an image in the viewports (like blueprints), much better!!!
Dunno the limitations of concave/convex geometry here. |

What exactly are splines in this context? I understand the concept of generating geometry from 3D lines, but as I understand, the splines in Cart Shop have slightly more to them than that. |

The way I see it is something like drawing a polyline where each new edge you draw is immediately converted into a full polygon too. This, for example, allows you to draw the outline of your level in the TOP view quite easily. Splines would be an additional primitive in DeleD, if enough people say they'd like such a feature. |

I like the feature, but I think I'd definitely vote for a different name. |

I think that would be a powerful feature to add to the already powerful features . .
In the relaese notes you can write 'DeleD's now been SplineD' ..... has a bit of a ring to it. |
