I've implemented Edge Picking in the 3D view and I'm experimenting a little with it, using commands like Split and Connect.
Question: when using the Connect command on edges, the current selected edges are split in two and these edges are the new selection when Connect is done. Is this useful from a modelers point of view? Or should the new edges (the edges that connect the original edges) be the new selection really? |

I can't answer that question, but I can note that edge drawing in the 3D view is not entirely consistent. Sometimes, the polygon will draw over the edge so the edge is not visible. You can probably fix this with a small polygon offset for all polygons -- but remember that polygon offset does not actually affect lines! |

It's more useful IMO if the current edges remain selected, not the new ones. Ie. the current functionality. However, what would be even more useful is if you could alter the number of splits in the edge by hitting the up and down arrows while holding 'c' or 's'. When you release the button the change is perminant. |
