Love the csg,but here a few thing I'm not sure about.
1) In the 3d window if object is selected and you try to deselect it using shift+left click it dose not deselect. If you use shift+ctrl+left click it will diselect the object. This is with the mouse pointer off the object in open space in both case. In 1.22 I think shift+left click did deselect the object. Is this view?
2) I must be the olny person still using 640x480 on the planet. Up till now I have not had any problem with deled 3d, but with the new update the csg window covers up the create item list and part of the properties windows on start up.Before 3.1 I had to move the create item down with the mouse to see the list ,but now the csg window covers it up and I cann't get to the create item list. I use 640x480 because of bad eyes(getting old _uck). If you can find fix this for poeple like me thanks.
The wait for 3.0 and up was long but well worth it , keep up the great work guys! |

The 3D selection code will be reviewed, as more people have been complaining, thanks! It is (and will probably always be) working slightly different than selecting in the 2D views as 3D picking works best with a 'pick closed object' strategy (something not possible in 2D). The point is: afaik nothing was changed from 1.22 to 1.3, but we'll have to check that. But anyway, enough of my rambling, we'll get it fixed
Ah, 640x480, I don't think Jeroen designed things to work on that low a resolution, no We'll see if we can get it functional within that limited dimensions. You might want to consider getting a really really big tft screen, it's very good on the eyes |

I am having trouble de-delecting vertex's after I grab too many. Are there still problem with de-selection? _________________ "Do or do not. There is no try."

Can you explain your trouble with deselecting vertices in more detail, Guyon?
I think I found the problem though - clicking a vertex in 3D view does not allow you to deselect it at all. Will be fixed! Do note that deselecting works in 2D views by simply clicking on the vertex again (or multiple times if vertices are lined up behind each other). |

Yeah, Ive had these problems... but nothing major... Selecting vets in All views but 3d works
Selecting faces worked in 3d as well for me. |

Make a cube with 3 sub-d's on all 3 axis. Pick cube and in Edit Mode click vertex mode. Now shift click a corner of a box and that will hi-light 4 vertices.
Now I can not find a way to un-select 1 of the vertices in that group.
Yes, and it would be nice to select vertices in 3d mode. Thank you. _________________ "Do or do not. There is no try."

Multiple shift click that corner to select one of those vertices (you'll see that the selected one changes color)
Multiple ctrl+shift click to select multiple vertices or deselect them.
Using shift click in the 3D view should work to select vertices - however, deselecting using ctrl+shift does not yet work in 1.44. I just fixed that behaviour, it'll be available in 1.5. |

Ah ok it cycles though finailly turning them all off.
That is a little slow for a time crunched project but it works.
Thanks at least now I can get back to this project. _________________ "Do or do not. There is no try."

I just spent 5 minutes cycling though a stack of Vertacies. I could not get all of them turned off. One was always on in the stack.
I would like to request a key clcik that just turns them off. No cycling.
Also I would like a group de-select that would turn off all picked. _________________ "Do or do not. There is no try."

Your first request has been implemented in the 3D view for DeleD 1.5.
Your second request is possible using Escape. Press Escape to deselect items (vertices, edges etc). Press Escape again to deselect the object itself. |

by all picked I did mean all Vertacies, I ment a Group de-select. Sort of like a anti-group select.
As an after thought do you have a reverse pick? That selects all un-selected and un-selects all selected? I am not at my graphics machine now to see. _________________ "Do or do not. There is no try."

Anti-group and reverse-group select are very nice concepts! I should have thought of those myself! Let's see if we can get them in the 1.5 release.
Anti-group should be made possible by dragging a rectangle around the group using ALT+leftmouse (or something) and then DeleD would deselect any selected vertex that is in that rectangle. Is that what you mean?
Reverse-group selection... how can we make that one available in the GUI? |

Sorry, the ALT LF-Drag or any other combo does not seem to deselect.

One button answer, or meneu selection. What ever is selected: Verticies, edges, etc. is swicted with what wasn't selected. _________________ "Do or do not. There is no try."
