This may be really stretching what is possible, but would it be possible to create a tool or something that could create openings of different shapes? What I am asking for would be a "tool" that you select the size, shape, etc. and click on a wall and it "blow" a hole in that wall of that size/shape. That would make creating doors/windows instantaneous. That way if you have a room and need a door to matchup to another room, you could just select this new tool, click, and have the opening that you need.

This is just a thought and might be out of the question, but I thought it would be worth asking.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the suggestion TheKurgan, it's suggestions like those that helps DeleD growing. Smile As for this particular request, we will implement Constructive Solid Geometry (CSG) which allows you to substract (for example) an object from another object. So, you could substract a cylinder from a large cube and you'd have a cylindrical hole in your cube. Exactly the tool you need to quickly create doors/windows etc. Smile Won't be implemented for a while though but will definately be in there.

IMO, you're better off doing it by hand. CSG has always been a last resort. It would usually make messy results, or make more polygon cuts than was needed. Unless you don't care about the messy resuts? The extra polys also made it harder to edit later on.

That's one of the reasons CSG has not been implemented right away. I feel low-polygon editing functions are worth more. Smile
