Can someone please make a Plugin that can export Cartography shop 4.x .CSM files. (Sorry if this is the wrong place to reguest something like this.)
I noticed that there's an importer for those types of files but no exporter. I think an export for those types of files would be useful.

Yeah, i think an exporter would be useful. On other side i think PJ and Jeroen are working Hard on DeleD 1.5 (if you see the last few Feature requests... that is much work). Btw. doesn't 3D World Studio supports csm too ? |

We totally agree, but as the same goes for all the other open feature requests we kinda need to figure out how useful in order to priotize things. You would really helps us out of you could further describe the use you see for such an exporter? For example, is there anything beyond CShop and 3DWS that requires the direct export of .csm files?
Oh and by the way, if anyone else feels like writing such an exporter (any exporter for that matter), by all means do. Just working out our own todo-list for time to come here... |

Thanks!
The Irrlicht 3D Engine supports .csm lightmapped files. It's a very easy file format to deal with in conjunction with the engine. (because the lightmap is include in the .csm file itself, it makes it easier)
If DeleD did export to the .csm file it would make getting lightmapped files in the Irrlicht Engine much easier. There's very few (Free/ Low Cost) easy ways of doing this.
Thats the main reason I was thinking it would be handy. I'm sure some other engines support it too.
Edit: Ok after looking farther into it there really isn't a great need for a .csm exporter. So I take back everything I said.
