The front page of the site probably isn't selling very well.
I came to the front site specifically to get information on the Torque exporter, that I know you have. It's not even mentioned on the front page! And the editor, which is the main product you have, only has a quarter of the bottom of the page.
Front and to the left, in the prime spot, is a bunch of dry, boring text.
You can probably keep the header of the page, but in place of the text should be two image-based, attractive, click-now buttons:
Code: |
DeleD 1.5 Torque Exporter
The Greatest 3D Editor Make DeleD work for you!
Only $69 Only $15

|
The text should be bright and visible, on top of mock-ups of the product boxes. Probably both are each inset in a jagged-edge circle or something, with the text breaking out of the edges for dramatic effect.
You can still have the text there -- after these two main headliners.
Trust me, it will help! |

Thanks for the suggestions - I like them and we will give it a shot.
Anyone got more suggestions for our main page? We're more than interested to hear about them! |

Btw: I just bought the Torque exporter (after finding it on the site -- it was not easy!) Don't know how good you are with tieing PayPal emails to existing users, but there you have it. |

I have to agree that the front page is not particularly inspiring, especially for a new user such as me.
What I wanted most when I first visited was to find up-to-date Introductory Tutorial(s). A link, such as what is currently on the page for your newest Tutorial, leading to a page of 'Official' tutorials would go a long way to getting we newbs started, rather than having to dredge the forum for tutorials set at the new user level. The forum tutorials would then become the next place to go for the more complex/indepth tutorials.
Thats my 5c worth |

The idea is to have various product links on the main page. Click on such link and you'll get to the product page which has several links listed on top (including links to tutorials for that particular product ). Torque will get its own picture link so it'll be more easy to find.
However, spicing up the main page so that it becomes more inspiring to (new) users is a good idea, of course. The idea is to show people what's going on in an instance. I'm not thinking about listing detailed info about particular products, as we have the individual product pages for that purpose. But links to new tutorials (for several products) or having an Image of the Day (or week or whatever) are nice to have, I think. Any more suggestions? |

LOL well I never, it actually never occured to me to click on the Front page DeleD square to find tutorials...I just assumed it was a sales link and headed off tot he forums in search of tutorials...
So perhaps, a simple enchancement would be to give an indication as to what the product link will provide the clicker...Buy Options/Tutorials/Blurb etc _________________ Winners never Quit, Quitters never Win |
