Yeah, the Plugin work only with older DeleD Versions. But heres my Tip: I wouldn't create Terrains in DeleD because the Landscapes are all Polygonal and not optimized. And features like Alpha Bleding and mixing of Textures aren't supported. If you work on Blitz 3D, use T.Ed 5.0 or TerraEd. There are also good tools for Darkbasic like Geoscape, or the Unreal Tournament Mapeditor NeMesis.
T.Ed 5.0

Hi Nocturn
Thank you very much for the tips. I´m search for a freeware tool. Terrain Editor (Nemesis) is very good but it need the .Net framework. When i install the .Net framework, my pc not start automaticaly again. I have a older version from Geoscape. It is good but it was no more supported.
What do you think about Terragen ?

Terragen is a Landscape rendering Engine. The only useful that Terragen for your games can do is creating Height, Color and Shadowmaps. It's hard to find a good Freeware Terrain Editor, i prefer T.Ed from D-Grafix. |

Try the built-in editor in the Torque game engine. It has a bunch of terrain editing and creation tools. The main draw-back is that it's 256x256 only, and you have to extract the terrain data after it's done. You can probably run the editor without buying Torque, by just downloading the demo (which comes with the scripting kit and level editor).
Personally, though, I use Photoshop :-) |

Hi jwatte
Thats a good idea. I have Torque game engine. I´m new in game programming. First i must learn wih witch tools i must work. A few minutes ago, i have tested DeleD Lite with Geoscape3D. I have created a Terrain with Geoscape3D and export it as Mesh (3ds), then i import it with DeleD Lite. The result is very good.
