Why not, if this a bug ?

I'm afraid someone is going to ask you to be a bit more precise about what is not working for you Wink

Yes, I'm afraid I am going to ask that. Wink What are you trying to do? If you select an object, you can perfectly UV map that object. Selecting multiple objects might be a problem though, I'm not sure (as I haven't written the UV mapper). Individually UV-map your objects should work OK.

Hi

If i make a UV Map from one object, all is ok. But if I make a UV Map from more objekts it is not ok.

Example: If i have 2 cubes, the one left and the other on the right, it looks like as one objects but it´s 2. If i make now a UV Map, only the cube on the right side is textured correct.
Now i have played a little bit and i now i need a UV Map from each objekt.
So the question must be.: How can i make one object from two objects.
My building from the other post have more objects as two, thats a problem to make a UV Map from the outside.
I hope you can understand me.

Roland

Hi Roland,

I am terribly sorry, but I don't think I understand your problem 100% yet. However, here are some pointers that might help you out:

1. To edit the UV coordinates of multiple primitives at the same time, (a) assign the same texture to both primitives and (b) select them both (shift-click one, ctrl-shift-click the other)

2. To merge two primitives into one, select both (shift-click one, ctrl-shift-click the other) and click on the Merge edit command. If the two primitives intersect, this will create inner faces. Remove those manually, or use union instead.

[edit]Oh, wait, I think I know what you mean. The Box Mapping command apparently only works on the first selected primitive, not on all. Thanks for reporting that! I'll put it on the list to be fixed. In the mean while, simply merge those objects (see pointer (2) above) and map them as one. If they need to share the same UV map, they are probably one object anyway. [/edit]

Hi Paul-Jan

I follow your explain in step 2.) with merge and now it´s ok.

The other, i think it´s a bug too. Thank you for the help.
