1. A polygon counter. Currently you only seem to be able to count the number of polygons in one object at a time, but it'd be nice to know how much groups of objects have when you're trying to cut down.

2. Have the "Reset Cameras" button also function as "Focus on Selection" when you have an object selected. It just seems natural that it'd work that way and it's much better than right clicking. Also, it would be nice if the 3D view pointed towards the object when you did that -- this way you could actually use it to find different objects if you lose them.

3. Enable arithmetic in the number fields. For instance, if I have the grid set to 128 and I want to move an object 8 squares to the right, I'd like to be able to type in 128*8 in the number field instead of having to do it in my head.

4. A movable camera in the 2D views. In large maps, it takes a while to move the camera around in the 3D view (and I'd rather not change my options every time I want to move quickly), so it would be much easier if I could just select a sort of camera object in the 2D views, zoom out quickly, and place it where I need it.

Nothing serious, but they would definitely increase usability.

Edit: number four added just because it doesn't need its own thread.

On second thought, a better solution than #4 would be a simple boost toggle: something like Caps Lock that, when on, speeds up your movement in the 3D view.

I'm just browsing the Feature request forum. Smile Quick question about this one: does using Shift+rightmouse for zooming already do the job, or do you have something else in mind?

Windows already has a built in calculator for stuff like this. Just hit windows key + R and type calc... I use it in DeleD all the time. Just put it in your quicklaunch, and it's almost as good as having it in DeleD itself.
