Yes I want us being able to have personal preferences for grid size and hot keys like:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grid 1 |||||||| Current Size [ width#height Changable box ] ||||
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grid 2 |||||||| Current Size [ width#height Changable box ] ||||
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grid 3 |||||||| Current Size [ width#height Changable box ] ||||
.........
[ Save/ok ] [ Cancel] [ Reset ]

the presets are useless IMO, because they are Jereon's presets

Actually, they are powers of two, which are quite useful for many FPS modeling contexts. The "pre-sets" for key N are simply 2 to the power of N (which makes them easy to remember). Powers of two are also pretty much the only way to make sure that smaller grids and larger grids line up properly.

Yet using multiples of 10 on a 100 major grid introduces no problems lining up.

DeleD is not an FPS level creator. The userbase is using it for all kinds of different things.

I'm stuck having to manuallyset the grid on the options screen all the time. Being able to put my own values in the preset keys would save me a lot of time. Using Shift-# could allow for J & P's presets, and user presets to co-exist nicely.

The problem is that you only get three, or possibly four, levels that work well together (1, 10, 100, 1000). Sometimes that is useful, too, so I'm sure that settable grid sizes would help you. What I was commenting on was the expression "Jeroen's pre-sets" -- I don't think they come from Jeroen, specifically.

1,2,5,10,25,50,100... (Yes, I do work like that). Which is why you set each key to a specific size, and not a multiple or power of another number.

They are "Jeroen's pre-sets". In the sense that they are locked down, and can't be changed.
