Beforehand we ask to forgive me for my bad knowledge english.
Objects BOX are always justified on grid . Even when this not need. but here is objects CYLINDER see with accuracy before on the contrary - never are justified , nor in what projections That possible to do with this ?. I feel the enormous inconvenience and can not do very many things because of this. This bugs of editor or there is what -that way? On example are shown two boxes - one is simply put(deliver)ed but the second I tried to turn - and all cue sides themselves were justified on grid - and was got not turned BOX but some rhombus =). But here is 3 and 6 outside cylinders for example as nor move and if them turn - a net ignore in general . and at tumbling and when moving.

i dont really know what you try to explain but if you want that your cube doesn't snap to grid you must select your object and than go to the object mode which you can find between materials, scene and create/edit.
than go to snap method and than change vertex into none and then rotate you cube and you will see than it's doesnt missform anymore |

Or press F9 to turn the snap-to-grid function off. _________________

problem not in F1-F9
matter of fact that vertex cylinder NEVER are justified on grid automatically. (or I simply can not understand as this do =) . so no no possibility absolutely exactly to combine sides an brushes from cylinder and cube . for BSP design level this much bad.
once again we ask to forgive me for my english , but see I never shall be able his know well =( |

Like someone already told you, different objects have different snapping methods by default, because a vertex snap makes no sense by default for a cylinder.
Right click on the object you created, and choose a snap method. There is NONE, CENTER, and VERTEX.
Right click on the object, and a context menu will come up. Select properties. A Object menu will pop up. Look under SNAP METHOD. _________________
