Finaly got round to making a model (wish i could control 3d view ).Seeing all these spiders i just had to make a model of the late Bert. All cylinder primitives then a bit of vertex moving.

Lightmapping doesn't show so well on rather dark textures. Also, dark objects can be seen better when put in front of a dark background! That way, there's too much contrast. At least, I feel so.

you lightmapped you spider good but you need to take the screenshot from the other side so you see half shadow half light.

when taking a screenshot dont take it from the same side as the light is :wink:otherwise you dont see any shadow so it looks like it's not lightmapped.

also dont take the screenshot to much at the dark side because then you won't see anything Razz

Thanks for tips on lightmapping need to practice this a lot more as am very week at that part.

put a plain under it and then we can see a nice 8 legged shadow on the ground too Smile
