Hey, I'm new.
So I've been writing a game script since summer '05. The game is called "Abbadon: Paradise of Darkness". It's based on a huge island.
When I learn DeleD to make island things, it'll start being in on more development. But the models are being made. Which I'll explain in a minute.
Here's the game info.
"Two parents, Jack and Sarah Schuyler,
wanted to work things out so they won't get a divorce.
They have two 10 year old boys.
Jack rented a boat for the family for alittle vacation.
The whole family sails off in the middle of the Pacific Ocean for "Peace And Quiet".
The first night, a storm came. Made the boat crash into a unknown island.
When Jack woke up, Jack couldn't find his family.
Jack found blood next to the boat.
As he search for his wife and kids, he started to see unusual things.
Then realized he has to fight his way though
the whole island to find and save his family..."
The game will be horror kind. The player must fight unspeakable creatures though the island to find his family.
You might think the game might be like Resident Evil or Silent Hill...no. It'll have shocking things.
To make yall understand more, later in the game, you have to cut ALOT of dead bodies tummys to make a long rope made of guts to escape a cave.
One creature is currently being made. Here's the art work, and what is look like so far. I have a modeler to make the models for me.
I'm the writer, level designer(Well, very soon ), and CEO of my own company, Sanitarium Games®.
I know DeleD has a modeling tool, but modelling was never my cup of tea.
The art work was from my drawer. He's the co-writer and President of Sanitarium Games®.
Sanitarium Games® only has 4 people total.
There will be more crazy things like the gut rope. You might think we are sick. Maybe we are, but don't care.
One question, is the Delgine creators publishers? Or mostly, I just put the game on CD and tell, and sell it to people myself.
The game should be done by early 2009. Hope you guys will become fans.
Thanks _________________

Nope, we're into creating DeleD 3D Editor and distributing modelpacks & texturepacks. We have some other plans as well but we're not in the publishing industry.
Anyway, goodluck with your project! I sure hope you'll have the spirit to continue and finish your ideas! _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Well, thanks anyway. Maybe I'll just find some publishing tips and things like that.
Oh, say like I made a level. Than I made another one in a different scene. Can I connect levels to each other? _________________

Wierd - something went wrong with that quoting stuff...
About different levels: yeah, break up your 3D world into pieces (levels) and bring them together again using your game engine. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Just noticed you made the following remark in your original post:

I think that if you want to make this project a success, you should try to assemble a team. And a team is not just a group of people doing stuff for some boss at command, a succesful team is a group of people striving to accomplish a shared goal. All member of a successful team are motivated by heart to get things done and money, for example, should be less important. So... that modeler should not make the models just because you asked for them, he/she should make the models because he is motivated to put his share into the project. He/she needs to be commited to the project, not just to you as a boss...
Oh well, feel free to ignore my rambling... I just felt the need to write my thoughts down suddenly...
About game engines: how about BlitzBasic as a language? _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
Look at the console log. If there is a texture missing, you will have problems. The log will tell you what's going on. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.
