I don't know if this has been discussed before, but consider this:
If I had the ability to change the center position of each object then I could align them easy to line up perfectly. Is there any way to do this know?

Hi moraldi,
I'm not sure if I understand your question completely, because on your image I see merely two objects. Do you mean you want to align the vertices somehow?
As for objects: there is an align command, I'm sure you found it already? _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

Hi Mr. Fletcher and thanks for your response
I want to align the two objects perfectly along the common edges of the red marked area:
I found the align command but it doesn't help in this situation, does it?

Nope it doesn't.
Here, you could only move it yourself. If you want to make it seemless, maybe you would operate with acurate values here. Thus, you will have to Calculate the difference (using the object's sizes and positions) and enter the value in the corresponding fields for the move command.
If you don't mind it being transformed, you could also do it another way: Select both objects and the vertices at the edge. Hit the 'X' button (restrict to the X axis). Select Scale and thus push the two edges together.
If you want it to be one object, merge the two, select the aligned edges and use the weld command, this will remove the double vertices. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

Scale the depth and width to some even power of 2 number, like 128 on both (depending on your grid).
Set them to center snap.
They will now EASILY snap together.
Do whatever comes next, like welding, or whatever you wanted to do from there. _________________
