Hi all,

Sometimes, it is quite difficult to select the correct objects in top/side/front view. It would be very nice if we could do drag selection in 3D view because we could freely move in 3D view.

Thanks for attention

Certainly. All selection and editing should be possible in 3D views as well. Don't know when dragged selections will be implemented though, but I'll keep you posted of course! Smile

I'm on your side on this, sammy. Also, there is a very cool feature in Blender that lets you have a circle which you can use as a selection brush.

I agree -- for complex scenes, even with the click-through feature (shift-click more than once) it's hard to get at the specific polygon you want to select. You'll typically end up modeling pieces, and then putting them together in a separate scene, and then having to go back and edit the piece if you find it doesn't quite fit.
