Hi all,

Some strange dotted lines appear in different parts of my model.
(Those lines are marked with red color)

This is the model file
http://www.geocities.com/imagination304/testing.zip

When I load the models into Blitz3D, these dotted lines still exist.
It seems that: Texture of one face is showed on adjacent texture of another face.
What's going on?

Thanks in advance.

That is un-welded models. The dotted lines are caused by rasterization invariance, or minute variations in coordinates.

To fix: Join the objects into a single object, select the vertices at the ends of the lines, and weld them.

Well, here it's rather because there are occluded polygons underneath the floor with the system texture, so it doesn't come from the background but from these polygons. Remove the polygons you cannot see and the problem will be gone most likely.

Using boxes instead of flat rectangles is not advised. DeleD is not a brush editor.

What everyone else said above. Don't just slap shapes onto eachother, you have to connect all vertices, otherwise occluded parts of the geometry will shimmer through. If that fails, at least try to remove occluded/inner polygons, or at least give them the same kind of texture as the ones that actually show up.

Note: .. Unless you are trying to export to a brush based format, using the Torque Exporter. In that case, the BSP construction tool (map2dif) will fix these issues upon export, and this way of modeling is perfectly fine.
