A major update of the .X importer has just been released. Quote from the changelog:

- support for binary .x files added
- support for frame transforms and nested frame hierarchies added
- added readme.txt and history.txt
- improved tab-order for more convenient keyboard-control
- pressing escape now closes the importer
- solved memory leak
- textures now load properly if you've set your texture folder to anything other than the default
- textures now load from the local path if the absolute path provided does not exist (i.e. exporters like Wings3D write absolute paths to textures into .X file)
- texture coordinates now load properly if they occur before the material list inside the .X file
- material colors now load properly
- improved exception handling (sometimes parsing errors would trigger access violations, hiding the true problem with loading the file)
- improved progress feedback
- version information is now displayed

Note: We are constantly improving our importers to make getting your art in into DeleD the smoothest experience possible... so if you stumble upon a .X file that won't load correctly, please don't hesitate and send it to paul [at] delgine [dot] com so we can get things fixed! |
