So you would like to contribute to our tutorial section? First of all, thanks! We are working very hard to get this section off the ground, and your efforts to help the DeleD community are deeply appreciated.
First thing to pick is a topic to write a tutorial on. For a suggestion on available topics, see the tutorial main page. Inactive links (without an author) are topics we'd really like to see covered in a tutorial. Already have a topic in your mind, but it's not in the list? That's fine too, just let us know!
Then there is the actual tutorial itself. Here are the general guidelines:- Pick up our html tutorial template. It offers a nice basic structure for a tutorial (feel free to add more chapters on an as-needed basis) as well as a stylesheet that will give you a good idea how things will look on the main site.
- Try to keep the HTML simple and stick with the layout concepts as introduced in the stylesheet as much as possible. If you really need new styles in your tutorial, please inform us about it so we can merge them into the general tutorial stylesheet used on the website.
- Use images! The more the better, nothing conveys a concept better and faster than an image!
- That said, don't make those images too big. We usually use 320x240, but 400x400 is about the maximum size.
However, these are just guidelines, not rules or anything. If, for example, you suffer from HTML-phobia, but know how to write a quality tutorial in Word, just let us know and we'll take care of converting the tutorial to our own format. Content is everything! |

I have totally forgotten about that one! I blame the new subdividing routines, of course. Will upload a.s.a.p! |

Hi there, I found a nice little tool that allows you to record your screen and creates a flash file! That way, you can easily make video tutorials, I think. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds good!
Here it is! _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it
