Xplorer is my first complete project.
You take the control of an ant who tries to find his way back home
Few days left until completion (just some refinements in the finish screen)
Of course some levels where made using DeleD Pro

That looks awesome!
I love arcade style games like this!
How are you planning on releasing it?
How many levels are there?
How long did it take you?
What engine did you use?
I *love* it! Serioulsy - I just want to play it NOW!
Well DONE!

That looks nice. There is something addictive about breaking boxes and collecting all the shit that falls out of them. _________________

Thank you guys!
Dale:
It will be released in a few days (I hope on next week)
The tools I used are:
Engine:
Blitz3D, http://www.blitzbasic.com/
Modeling:
DeleD Pro, Silo 2, UltimateUnwrap, http://www.unwrap3d.com/index.aspx
Animation:
LightRay3D, http://www.sxcreations.com/lr3d/lightray3d.php
2D artwork:
Gimp, http://gimp.org
The project started 5 months ago and I am almost alone. My brother is a 2D professional artist and helped me in his free time
There are 20 large levels
At this time I can sell my game only from my web site (through PayPal) but I don't know which Site/Publishers are interested in these type of games.

That looks like a really cool game.
You could contact GarageGames about publishing it. They do downloadable publishing. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

I 'll let you know what happened then with the publishers
Thanks for the link (I didn't have the time to search for publishers because I never finish a game until now...)
EDIT: If Xplorer will like to the public then I will proceed next month on Xplorer 2.
In this case I will need better 3D graphics and animations. If someone believes that can help to this direction don't hesitate to contact me in:
support@moraldigames.com
I can pay front for your stuff if I can preview it and fits my needs.
Please don't forget that I am a hobbyist until now so my budget is not high! |

Well, thats pretty impressive to say the least! That averages out at around a week a level, not to mention your game logic etc. Yikes!
Who did the 3D then? Did you? You've got a great style going there!
How has the play testing gone?
Please let us know when its ready! _________________

I bought most of the models (except from the levels of course).
They where static and I made the animations of my own (LightRay is really a very good program with IK capabilities, concerning its cost)
I forgot to mention that before starting the game I implemented a general purpose editor Unlimited Drop:
http://www.moraldigames.com/Products/UDrop/UDrop.exe
This editor in the very near future will have native Windows GUI
I needed about 3 days for each level.
Testers where all family and my brother (If Xplorer's diamonds where real he will be a millionaire now after collecting so many in tests!)
I hope Xplorer is bug free know (you never know...)
The game finally will be released in this Weekend
Dale: I am very happy you like my work and I will let you know first about the release. So stay tuned in this forum! |

I am very much impressed by this piece of work! Lovely gameplay with a nice friendly atmosphere even though you can blast some of the nasties to oblivion.
Do keep us posted here!! |

Well done!
Xplorer released today.
http://moraldigames.com/
I had a shock in the last minute when I forgot to place in the proper directory a 3D file (it was a mesh created with DeleD Pro!@!%&!) and the last level simply refused to load!
Fortunately for me I found this bug very quick and now my first complete game is ready.
After this project I realized that companies such Delgine (and others of course) they are valuables co-operators. |
