Wonkey viewports
Are my eyes decieving me? Or are the views wrong? I took a few pics and set them as the background images to give me a template. I started to model this plane, but nothing lines up, and it seems my front view is actually my side view. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

The views always drive me nuts in Deled. It's like it picks random positions at startup, and then everytime I toggle the tool window, they play musical chairs again.
Can't you just change what picture is in what viewport? _________________

I turned the "top view" image 90 degrees so it was facing the right direction. The only problem I have now is...the side view image needs to go to the right (on the screen) and up so that everything lines up. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

Rotating the image used in the top view was the right solution, indeed. Good find!
On the side view, the tip of the plane indeed has to point to the right (mirroring your image will do). Notice the little arrow marking the direction of the z-axis. |

The plugin windows will also go fullscreen if you had a fullscreen view when you quit. _________________

Wow, that sounds like an odd issue, seeing how DeleD doesn't communicate with the plugin windows at all! How do I get them to do that? Here is what I tried:
1. Set DeleD to maximize
2. Set one of the 2D views to maximize
3. Quit
4. Restart DeleD -> everything is the way it was after step (2)
5. Invoke a plugin. In my case, the Multiverse Exporter. Looks the way it is supposed to.
Am I not taking the right approach? Are we perhaps talking a specific plugin? |

Ever since I typed 'S' to do a scale in my top view, the cursor has been hidden whenever it's over that window.
edit: and now, like magic, my cursor is back. _________________

Still more problems. On startup, something is ALWAYS wrong with the 3d view. It's either maximized for no reason, or it's a tiny window in the top corner. _________________

The 3D view will be maximized on startup if it was maximized when you closed DeleD. If that is the case and you press the 'unmaximize' button (not the minimize button, but the one next to it), the window will scale to its default size because there is no previous size known (because you just started DeleD and no window state history is known yet).
It seems to work fine over here as I haven't had any problems myself. Please specify any problem in detail so I can try to reproduce. |
