The game v.s. rendering engine post Vampyre made is very true, that's alway a tricky one. I haven't seen _any_ good free gaming engine, I think everyone just glues together the rendering, pyshics, ai and sound bits, don't they? At least that enables you to pick your favourite flavours.
And play licence lottery.

I hate templates.

Chris, there is nothing wrong with using void in my function definition, it's a matter of style and personal preference. I save my empty () for my function calls. Smile

Hmm to Game engines I would assume Carmack has released the Q3 engine code, but I never was too keen on that engine, although it was better than the game itself.

Ok so the Ogre being the only OO engine out there was a big bad lie, darn the author. I'll look around and see what I like. And what I can easily write a .dmf importer for, no more .x files and I'd assume we can use lightmaps.

Vampire - I know theres nothing realy wrong with you use of void, I had been reading that FAQ you pointed me to and that was one of the things mentioned Smile . Hell I even do it when I'm programming for Korax' Heritage, although thats more because I'm just following the same style as the original programmer.

Oh ok, well it'll be out soon.

Yes Korax' Heritage is indeed a Hexen mod, I've been on the team (as Moose) for just under 2 and a half years. I wouldn't worry about h-'jacking this, only person who'll really get annoied is Khris and thats because code confuses him.

Ok fine Jeroen, you may have some points, only 4 though.

Heh heh, sorry guys looks like the demo could be posponed again, we've finished our A Level exams for now, but have vast quantities of coursework to get done within the next 3 or 4 weeks.

If you wish to physically hurt someone because of this we can possibly get you the addresses of 4 A Level Physics teachers Twisted Evil .

But it will be along soon.

We are indeed, and I have to agree it's one of the most enjoyable, even more so because it's free.

Although today has been a bit of a pain, trying to the buoyancy to turn on and off when I want it to, but I'm almost there now.
