Sometimes when I connect edges, there's this error:
Access violation at address 004F1E85 in module 'deled.exe'. Read of address 00000008.
(also see http://www.delgine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2796)
Maybe you could fix it in the next version.

Yeah, just like the Fill tool seems to mess up sometimes. I'll look into this.

If anybody has a repeatable testcase for me, I'd love to hear about it! Errors like these are very hard to fix. I really need a reproducable testcase.

I've run into this, as well as connecting vertices, sometimes to the point where I'd get the error everytime I click on the open windows, forcing me to restart deled.

I've also had some problems with merging faces where nothing happens - and when filling that nothing happens. Usually with "odd" geometry I'd say

Faces can only be merged when they are on the same plane. Even a slight difference means they will not be merged. Use Flatten first in such cases - that might help.

I suspect there to be a bug in DeleD´s lowlevel geometry routines that acts up in only a few rare occasions. As said, I think it will be a hard one to find but it has nr 1. priority now.

With adding vertices by simply clicking, It would be now very great to have edges or vertices connected by simply clicking and dragging in the 3D view. I imagine this as a very useful help, which would make modeling a lot easier.

Ahh, thanks Smile I went back to my latest example and it worked after flattening

This request has been implemented - DeleD 1.8 will have a more stable Edge Connect routine. Smile
