this sort of thing is something like what i was wanting to do.

it seems stupid to export a map/model into a different modeller to get a shot/render of something in a side/top view.

All you have to do is move the camera in the rendered view to get a side or top view, or inside view, or any other view. That's what I do and I'm extremely lazy.

Could always do a compromise, where there's hotkeys to view from the top, north, south, etc.

you just dont get it - do you. everything else does it except Deled.
