Everytime I select an object, I immediately get an error about texture layers.

Seems I get errors everytime I touch an object that started off as a cylinder. Usually memory leaks. Trying to copy and paste objects that were cylnders often leads to error messages from the TScene class?

Every place where I can type something, I get buggy save icons in the status bar. This happens anywhere I can use keyboard input. Even in the options panel. Sometimes it even pulls my keyboard focus out of the text boxes. Was hard to adjust shadows because of this.

Yes, I got rid of the old Deled.

I ran it again and got no problems. Confused I'm trying to locate what it is that I did that set off the chain reaction. Smile

edit 1
- The option to bake ambient color into the lightmaps doesn't stay unchecked.

edit 2
Yep, once again after I use a cylinder, everything goes to hell. Either that or lightmapping / triangulating. Then the program goes to hell. Smile The grid colors got reversed, memory leak errors, etc.

Try copying and pasting a bunch of those cylinders, and moving their verts/extruding etc?

Ok, it's the options menu for sure. After messing around with the grid sizes, and toggling some check boxes, things start to go downhill from there. Pressing any key from then on will corrupt my statusbar stuff(see above), and then it's downhill from there.

That's all I did after opening the program.

I'm aware of the statusbar bug. It seems like a bug in that particular component so i'm not sure what I can do about it. And cylinders seem to cause trouble? We'll look into that! I just hope we are able to reproduce the errors. Maybe you can send us a .dmf file you're working on that is causing the trouble? Send to jeroen_at_delgine.com and paul_at_delgine.com if you will. We'll also look at the Options form. We'll get rid of these nasty little creatures called bugs! Smile

Small recap of the bugs up till this post:
1. The option to bake ambient color into the lightmaps doesn't stay unchecked [status: fixed in next update]
2. Using the options screen and/or cylinders does seem to cause some strange effects. Not reproducable with dave, but very presistent with Vampyre [status: unknown, hard to reproduce]
3. Statusbar save-icon trouble (probably in combination with #2) [status: unknown]

#1 seems easy enough to fix, and we'll take a good look at #2 and #3. Seeing how we didn't touch the cylinder code, and I did add some stuff to the Options screen, the latter is clearly the main suspect Smile
