Hi there and welcome to Delgine ,
So you want to make models for games..., well one thing you will need to do is practice a lot. You can start with making a concept for an area like a forest, desert, jungle etc. etc. When you choose what you want to make go on the internet looking for images of the place you want to make (of course these images need to be of 3d areas, like "faron woods" in zelda.) study the screenshots well and if you can get some real 3d examples from the internet it is even better. When you know what you want to make just start with the small things like baskets, bottles, glasses (all kinds of simple things. TIP: save those small things as prefab so you can browse and place them in your scene (you can find them beneath the basic objects if you saved them in the prefab map)). When you made those and you master a little of the 3d commands in deled try to make some house's and after that the terrain and foliage. (foliage is the most difficult). when you created your first area you must have learned a lot of things, now keep practising by doing this (or make separate objects if you don't like to make entire areas) and the longer you do it the better you will get .
Tip is to just start small with glasses, plates and build bigger and bigger.
(this is how I learned to create 3d (for games). Also try to pick a style like anime or realistic and perfectionate yourself and that certain style, after that you go study the next style etc. (but for the first time pick the style you like the most because that will keep you more motivating).
if get stucked or don't know how to make certain things, just go to the forum and would like to help you the best we can.

Sticky'd this
Thank you for this post, elementrix! Please try to structure a bit more and maybe add some pictures to this.
Also, I think this could be some kind of meta tutorial or introduction to modeling in general _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it
