Dirk's .map export plugin has been released on the main site as well. Feel free to get a copy (DLL+readme.txt only) at the Download section. |

With the new DeleD version the plugin system was improved. Unfortunately, this means it is also incompatible with the old plugins, so they have all been taking offline during their refactoring phase. In the next couple o' days, you'll see them popping back up one by one, keep an eye on the news! |

Do you plan to make it available soon? |

Of course I will! I just don't know when it's ready yet.
If anyone needs something to work with desperatly right now, I can send them the old version of DeleD and the plugin. |

I just found out about DeleD and am extremely excited... seems cleaner than QuArK (not bashing it - haven't used it much - jist initial observation) and more featureful that CShop (again, haven't used it other than to check it out initially).
Any idea on the timeline for the new .map exporter? I'm in the initial stages of learning the Torque Engine and creating a map is coming up on my list. |

Hi,
yes, making TGE maps files can be a breeze with DeleD, thanks to the design of DeleD's UI.
I have several points to make:
1.) you can use the 'old' 0.86 version of DeleD with the .map exporter. The recent 0.91 versions sports especially the lightmap feature, which you don't need as a Torque user. So you can easily switch to 0.86.
2) The old version isn't online anymore, so I can send you a copy, if you like. Just send me a mail (-> profile).
3) Indeed, to all TGE owners out there: I haven't had too much response from TGE users out there, which basically could mean:
a) everything works as expected, no bugs, no feature requests
or
b) nobody's really using it.
Which is more propable? :-)
So a call to all ye Torque owners: send me an email, and let me know if you want this thing flying and ready for you to use. People (esp. me) get much more motivated, if they know of all the raving masses out there wanting it.
Thanks in advance!

I've used this for making roads... and it worked 100%... I had some problems with the textures... but i could get past em by clicking the right things.... This was a program error and not a error in the exporter...
Atm we are prototyping our new game... and we'll use Deled when we start doing stage models... So please dont stop supporting this!.... I'll be veeerrrryyyy dissapointed ! |

Dirkk,
I just downloaded the old version of Deled and the exporter last week, and am very impressed and excited. I hope that you will continue to work on the exporter. I already like it much better than Quark. The interface seems so much smoother and intutitve. Once word gets more spread, I think many people will say good-bye to Quark.

Being fairly new at using this editor I have had no exprience with the old map exporter. So a simple question, does or will the new map exporter export textured geometry?
Most 3rd party exporters I have worked with allow geometry to be exported but you still have to texture in the appropriate editor.
Thank you
