Hi, I started modelling with DeleD Lite a few weeks ago, and i'm learning it really good, well here are some of my first models which i'm not embarresed to show Wink

I'm going to put these models into my game project, not published yet...
I'm doing it in RealmCrafter.

Í'm making a whole set of these planks, and then i'm going to make a town on a cliff in my game, so you can walk on them

You can get water from here...

This is going to be the entrance of one of the 3 temples, this is the basic temple, i'm going to make a nature/forest style temple, and an Ice temple as well.

And here's some more screenshots of it:

I'm gonna put some monsters near that temple, and it's gonna be located near a mountain,

Please give some constructive criticism and/or good advice

I think you´re well on your way. With some proper lighting, these will be awesome models to use in a game environment. A little more texturing and detail in the geometry and things will look even better. Keep it up! Smile

thx guys for all the good comments and stuff!

Well here's my progress...

I decided to make the temple entrance a little bigger, because it's way more fun to have multipile entrances and exits.
Unfortunately, i used snap on of the objects, and somehow i could't turn it back, so now some of it looks a little weird.

I've also made the entrance a little wider so, more than one person can enter at the same time.

The stairs are going to be leading to the second, smaller entrance, it's gonna be higher than the big one, you'll see it when it's done

screenies:

Here you can see the roof and the window look a little weird, I did that on purpose, because it's supposed to be an old temple

here it is in-game, at night-time, i'm gonna put some torches on it, so it won't be that dark, and have a nice feeling to it Smile

It's a pity i don't have really good textures, i'm probably going to buy PRO version, not till next year however...(so, not within a week Razz)

C&C are welcome,
greetz Jos-v

well, merry christmas, it's excactly 0:00 now Razz

and no, I haven't really had any experience, I wanted to make models for my game, the first program I found was gamespace, then Blender, but I didn'understand anything of it, then i searched for an easy modelling program,
I first found wings 3d, but it hadn't really much options, now I'm using Deled, and it's really the best of the ones I've tried, I've been doing it, and playing around with it for about 2-3 weeks now, and these models are the first actual good ones.

PS: thx for the texture-hint Cool

The temple in-game looks really cool Smile

And yeah, having multiple entrances/exits makes everything cooler!

merry christmas! Very Happy

I like what you have done so far! Are you planning on making the steps go higher into the mountains or is that as far as they go? It would be neat to see the steps lead to a path that crosses the mountains or something.

If you can get ahold of photoshop or a free program such as gimp, you can easily find tons of tutorials about making textures for game purposes. If your going to get into 3d modeling I suggest you learn how to create textures as well! Very Happy

Thx for telling me about Gimp, it's a very handy tools, I think I'm gonna use it to make the spell Icons for my game, and the interface buttons.

For the temple: I'm now done with the inside of it, and also the texturing and lightmapping. tommorow i'm going to make torches and stuff to put in it.

The dungeon has 3 large rooms, and some hallways with a couple of stairs (stairs are hard to create inside a dungeon! Shocked ) one halls gets an altar and pillars.

About that steps that cross a mountain, the 3rd temple i'm gonna make, will ben an ice temple, from the outside there will be 3 entrances around a huge mountain, with lost of steps around it, and inside it will have 5 floors Smile

well, cya

Another little update... Smile

Ok, I have been working a bit on those temple's, but to go any further I probably need PRO version, and definitly some better textures.

So, No temple pics this time, because there's nothing done yet, but what I have made is a little fountain, about 1,5 metres high, I moddeled it of a fountain I found with google Smile

Anyway: I'm probably not gonna use this in-game beacause It's nearly 4000 poly's
