Since the gizmo does not seem to do anything in face mode, I suggest disabling it or adding support for it in face mode. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

I think the gizmo was released too early. It only works with one command. It's kind of like vertex colors. you could set them, and then they were incompatible with everything else DeleD did (and still with some exporters...) |

At least its nice to be able to move things about in 3D mode, but yeah I do agree a bit, notably I was a bit disappointed rotation would not be included. |

@Fletcher: The Gizmo should work in Face mode too. At least it does on my computer. Can you experiment some more?
@Daaark: It's always difficult to decide when to release a new feature. Agreed, the Gizmo functionality can be extended quite a bit but we decided to release it as it is so people can start enjoying its current use already while we work on extending its capabilities. Don't worry, scaling and rotating using the Gizmo will be implemented.
@Starnick: do note that rotating objects in 3D views is already possible. Simply select the rotate command and click & drag in the 3D view to rotate in the XZ plane. Use Shift or Alt while keeping the mousebutton down to rotate in other dimensions. |

Okay so the gizmo appears in face mode and it does seem to have an effect on it. However, it's just like dragging the textures without the gizmo activated. I still can move the texture in both dimensions, even if I just clicked on one arrow. When I click on the green arrow and drag upwards, it will move the texture downwards. That's the only difference I've noticed. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

Back @ Jereon:
Yeah, I already know of the xz rotation, but I didn't know about shift + rotate , actually that was something I was looking for. Anyways, I still can't wait for rotation to come with the gizmo
Another thing I also wouldn't mind would to have absolute and local coordinates. Ie you rotate a cube 45 degrees, and the gizmo also is rotated, so moving up down, left right, etc is in relation to the object's orientation. |
