A minor update of this popular exporter has just been released. From the changelog:

Quote:
- Color texture bitmaps are now saved as 4x4 bmp's (2x2 textures caused problems on certain hardware configurations).
- Color textures can now optionally be saved as color_XXXXXX.bmp, with XXXXXX the hex representation of the color value.
- Renaming materials and textures in case of invalid identifier names (i.e. texture filenames starting with a number) now works properly.

Get it from our exporter plugin section.
