Botter is a SciFi FPS where you play a robot saving the world from an alien invasion, as you progress you discover a few secrets about your sourroundings and perhaps yourself. You fight your way through a laboratory, urban locations, space ships and planet surfaces.
Botter is based on my own engine which will be available for licensing shortly. It supports dynamic and static lighting and shadows, character animation, sound, physics, collision detection and more. Not to say it perfectly works together with DeleD.
On my website are a few screenshots of Botter, though the lighting system is not final: http://www.one-digit-ahead.com |

@granada: In the screenshots i used lightmaps with "modulate 2x" mode instead of normal modulation, that makes the light much more intensive and realistic. I also used a color postprocessing shader (contrast & gamma), which will be possibly be replaced by a bloom shader.
The mentioned engine is written in C/C++ using OpenGL and extensions for the renderer (min.spec.: Geforce FX 5200, Radeon 9200). Its very flexible and allows almost all modern rendering techniques (shaders are supported through CG). I've exporters for DeleD, Gile[s] and Blender which exports into the engines native format. I make levels with DeleD and animated models in Blender. I also write a .X importer into it to support more modelling packages (especially for animated models).
Im developing the engine more than five years now and have rewritten it about four times, now im very satisfied with it. Its rockstable and i think its useful for a lot of people out there. So i finally decided to release it for licensing under a very small fee.
Currently im making the documentaion and homepage and fix some minor issues. If you or somebody is interested in it write a email to me: bastian et one-digit-ahead d0t com. If you help me testing it or contribute assets you get a free copy and support from me. |
