Because you can do whatever you want with the windows. Ask Grenada, who often posts shots of his work where he has large cascaded windows instead of split views.

Or just leave it as is, as you already have 4 split views by default.

Hmmm making this optional would be the best sollution, but i don't know how hard it is to program that (switching between windows and splitter-views). Confused

Note that hard. You just change the window style flags of the windows in-flight, using SetWindowLong().
