I've got some time on my hands now. Shall the tutorials be ported to the wiki? They could be expanded like that easily.
Copyright information would be lost though. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

I think all the tutorials should stop linking to the site and should be hosted in the wiki for consistency. |

Yep, that's absolutely something that needs to be done! |

Might be cool if we video-ify them too...
Btw, we can always make a nice little template that shows a bar across the top of the tutorial page with information on who contributed it, editors, if its PRO or Lite, etc...as far as copyright info goes. |

Info bar is a nice idea. But mostly I'd like to keep copyrights as far away from the Wiki as possible, as it makes the information less accessible for updates. |

A word on tutorials.
Someone was on the chat today, asking where he could find tutorials for DeleD. I know where they are, but I have to admit they are pretty damn hard to find.
Another thing is, that there's the tutorial page and there's the Wiki with other tutorials. I think, you should at least link to the Wiki page on the main tutorial page. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

I totally agree, but for arguments sake I would like to add that in theory the scenario to get to the tutorials doesn't sound bad at all.
1) Click "Documentation" on the main menu of the homepage (or click on the DeleD Wiki link in the white box)
2) Click "Tutorials".
That doesn't sound too bad, right? In reality, however, people are unable to find it. The best I can come up with is add a direct link to the tutorials to the main page. Any other suggestions?

True. Still undecided on whether all the tutorials should be only in the Wiki, in which case the "other" tutorial page could be simply deleted. |

Right. But once you're on the DeleD page, you have to browse through a wall of text to find what you're looking for. How about some image buttons for the quick links? People look at those first usually. If you place them vertically, you can even keep that description text. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

There's two navigation scenarios:
1. Main -> Docs -> Tutorials
2. Main -> DeleD -> Tutorials
Are you specifically referring to (2)?
Ad 1) I looked into shortcutting 1 (Main -> Tutorials), but the wall of links is getting a bit too heavy on the main page.
Ad 2) The DeleD page could definitely do with some rewriting. Image buttons are a great idea, but only if they look half decent, and only if there isn't a gazillion of them. |
