Hi peeps, first post!

I've been looking at Blender/Silo etc. and have just about decided that DeleD beats them for ease of use.

One question I have though is...

Is it possible to select a deleted face and restore it at any time?...not just immediately after deleting it and using undo.

No, this is not possible. Do other applications have that? I never heard or even thought of this feature.

Just rebuild it.

You can use FILL if the situation is right. Or just make a rectangle and fit it into the needed space, and then merge and weld. You can even extrude the edge of a neighboring face.

Leadwerks 3DWS has this feature, you can still select faces that are 'deleted' and restore them.

I think that it just marks the face as 'not visible' and then does not export it either although you always have the option to restore it at a later stage if you want.

Daaark's method sounds easy enough, thanks.

That's because 3DWS is a different kind of editor. From what you say, I am guessing it's a CSG type editor, and the faces can't be deleted, only 'not drawn'. Which is how those editors work, because everything needs to be a closed surface.

DeleD is a raw polygon modeler. You don't use brushes, or any other kind of abstraction over the data, just raw data. An object can be composed of a single vertex if you wish.

Bonus points to Daaark for his excellent answer.
