Hi, when I try to start Deled I get the error 'Texture directory and/or default.dml not found! You should alter or remove these values in INI file'
I tried editing the .ini file but no joy...tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I get the same error |

Did you delete everything left in the folder after you deinstalled? If not, try that. Perhaps the ini file is left over when you modify it or when you have it opened by another program while deinstalling. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

Have you downloaded the individual deled.exe from our site and tried to run that? If so, that won't work because DeleD depends on several other files and directories. Perhaps you've already done so but if not, you need to download the deledprosetup.exe file (version 1.81) and install that one. A clean installation should definately work.
It might be that downloading the file doesn't work (we've had reports of other users having trouble downloading the file). Some firewalls/virusscanners might cause downloads from our site to become corrupt somehow. Try downloading the file from another computer or without having a firewall/virusscanner installed. |

If you are running Vista, your deled.ini isn't in your program files folder to edit, it's in a shadow folder.

Thanks Daaark, that sounds like it because I deleted the whole Deled folder...I'll look for that file when I get home. |

I am guessing Daaark is spot-on there, thanks for the quick response!
We should really start a DeleD Vista FAQ in the Wiki I guess (that is, until we start storing the stuff in the local appdata folder directly, in stead of depending on the Vista backwards compatibility folder mirroring). |

- I suceed to reinstall it without the opening message by deletting the .ini.
*But as soon as I open my map I got the message all textures are missing.
*And the material picker is in Black in White and the texture dose now show up. But all problems comeback when I change the texture directory. |
