Although the end-result isn't all that realistic yet, I like the ideas you are putting into this a lot (in particular the rolling waves, foam and sea->land edge). Definitely keep on working on this one, and keep us posted.

Oh, and kudos to everyone who is brave enough to pick the beach as the location for their scene, it's definitely not the easiest thing to model! Smile

i agree, i think the beach is the hardest scnece to pick.
But if you do it right, you can really cool results.

Space is the easyest one because of the freedom of art you can choose.
anyway, keep us updated with the beach one... Wink

The beach is my topic too. And remember that just because you pick the beach doesn't mean all you can do is sand and water.

Santutatu, get rid of the box. You don't need an artificial boundry here. It's for making a picture, not a whole level. Just use the edges of the camera while you take a screenshot. Stretch that sand out far beyond the edges of where you plan to take your shot from.

I doubt the beach is as hard as mine on a beach on the coast of tokyo in space! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Tip: Select your skybox material in the material editor and unchuck all the lightmapping options. You don't light skyboxes. It's also killing the light resolution around the rest of your scene.
