Can a plugin assign vertex colors? I haven't touched this stuff in so long, I forget what the capabilities are.

Really? I didn't know it was updated after vertex colors were introduced? I want to make something for my sand in my beach compo entry that alters the vertex color between 2 different colors based on the height of the vertex compared to the min and max vertex values in the model.

Since it is a property of the primitve vertex that comes from DeleD and can be changed by plugin and sent back I have assumed so. I have not used but will try, and confirm for you if it can be.

DeleD sends you either the currently selected object or the entire scene, depending on some flag you set or something there.
