Thank you. Too bad it's only in Pro edition, i am a lite user
Another qestion while im here: Any way to get around the slowness of moving around when working on large models, in my case terrains? Making a game with no zones. |

I use the mouse to navigate, that is shift + right mouse and drag I think, that way you can move at whatever speed you want. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

indeed, use shift and control and the right mouse and dragging etc. to move around. If you are doing it with the arrows or wasd I would definatelly learn it the other way, much faster and much more control/ _________________ Chickens RULE | www.elementrix.nl |

Thank you, it sure is a lot faster. But editing is still very slow on large models, sometimes i have to wait 2 - 3 sec before i can see the change. Now this is only on extreme terrains. But i think this is the same for all programs.
Do anybody know for if Max or Maya have this issue, or other programs? Because you so many mmo's games like Entropia Universe wich is huge and zoneless, or vanguard. |

those game lands are made with heightmaps (not always) and sometimes edited a bit, all the models are seperate and imported in game engines and placed there.
Indeed DeleD can't handle very high poly counts, but it is silly to make everything in a modeller and then export it.
Also, the terrain models for games like you mention and world of warcraft exist out of alot of different meshes connected seamlessly _________________ Chickens RULE | www.elementrix.nl |
