Hi there, welcome to these forums!
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "downloading Delgine", here are the options I see:
* If you mean DeleD, our 3D Modeling Application, you can download it from the product page, or directly using this link.
* If you mean Delgine, the original 3D engine... in that case I have to disappoint you, as that project got canceled years and years ago, sorry. If you were indeed looking for the engine, may I ask from what referrer you arrived at our website? We might want to inform that source that their link is rather outdated.
* If you mean Delgine, our little company... well I'm affraid you can't really download us. |

Delgine was originally supposed to be the name of a 3D engine? Didn't know that (did know about that old post talking about an engine though). Sorta explains the -gine I guess. |

The Engine was called "Parnauss", here's the Description that was on the page long ago:
Being in origin the mountain that held up the temple of the Delphi oracle, Parnassus strives to eventually become a high-quality 3D engine to support the Delphi game development community.
Our final goal is to offer a complete, intuitive platform Delphi developers can use to produce games and demos utilising 3D hardware. With DeleD as the tool to create the 3D content and Parnassus as the 3D engine to bring that content to live, we will hopefully be taking an important step towards that goal.
At the moment, Parnassus is still under heavy development. The engine design focuses on ease-of-use and performance, whilst keeping a very clean, extendable and maintainable code-base using OO-techniques. Rendering will support both OpenGL and Direct3D from the very start, and is easily extended to support future versions of both API's. The engine will eventually be capable of rendering indoor, outdoor and hybrid scenes, as well as particles and other special effects. Also a basic GUI implementation will be added, and we are considering adding collision detection and response as well as (limited) physics simulation in the future.
As Parnassus development progresses, "work in progress"-screenshots will be made available through these pages, as well as more detailed feature-lists and user documentation. Until then, if there are any questions you'd like to see answered, please don't hesitate to contact us!. |
