I second that. Very nice enviroment.
Some tanks and buildings and corresponding gameplay (ofcourse ) and you'd have made yourself a great RTS. |

None, I wrote that myself. Which is the reason it didn't run smoothly of course _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

I had the tank driving on the ground over the weekend, but I only had time to make it properly tween today.
So, here it is, Fletcher's tank on my randomly generated map:
http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/6177/tankonground.png
Now I will start working on more unit behaviors, making them work more like a real RTS.
If Mr. Fletcher or anyone is up to it, I think the next art goal will be to give the tank a traditional camouflage texture (simple color change for now, we can add detail later if you wish), and then make some other versions.
Let's start with the artillery. On the same or similar wheeled body, make a mobile light artillery.
Awesome work in such short time!
(And yes, I will try to e-mail you now, Fletcher)
Cheers,
Zoop |

Looking nice, altough I think it's scaled a bit too big?
I'm more interested in plain modeling actually, texturing is not really 'my thing'. But I guess I can edit that texture file to make it a green camouflage. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

Screenie looks nice allthough the proportions are a little odd.
You should make your landscape less detailed, or make you tank a lot smaller. Having a green tank might be good here too. The blue looks a little too dark for my taste.
Just my $0.02.
Oh and I would like to help but I can't because i'm too busy learning my exams and doing some other projects (One of them being an UV-mapping plugin for deled, so I might be helping you after all ). |

As said, these graphics don't have to be the final version by any means. Enough to test the game and be representative of what the action will look like. The polish phase is the phase of game develop that never ends... we'll get end up tweaking every single aspect (technical and graphical) during that phase .
Tweaking the texture would look better and be more representative.
It is scaled mighty big. I will downsize it myself, and then upload a ZIP of the scene and texture. That will be the time I will show you how to organize stuff for the future so I don't have to do much manipulation myself. It will also give an example of how to do "joints" in DeleD.
Cheers,

The texture file I uploaded was the work size, i would have scaled it down in the final version anyway.
I've got some time right now, I'll work on the texture in a second! _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it
