Some people have been wanting us to improve the CSG routines so that UV coordinates remain in tact. We have not worked on the CSG routines for the 2.0 release. It's on the TODO list, which we are now prioritizing. I do not know how high on the list this particular wish is going to be yet.

It would be really helpful. It would make life a whole lot easier. Smile (at least the modeling part)

I agree -- CSG that messes up your UV coordinates is about as good as no CSG at all. In any real project, you can't build ALL the geometry before you start texturing.

yes CSG keep crashing on me over just trying to cut a model up so I can put floor layers. Its real bummer as its making it where I have to move over to another model program to finish the model . =(

You should send a copy of the scene file, right before it crashes, to the Delgine guys, so they can reproduce it. Perhaps they'll even fix it.

I might do that, I got it to finally do it but it has holes all over it. for no reason, the CSG just needs cleaned up I think developers know it they are just not sure how high on the list it is for people. For me its biggest issue I have with delgine, I really love usiing this program.

Thanks for the input, and sending reproduction files to either jeroen or paul at delgine dot com is a big big help for us!
