This tuto is just a little tip, so, to substract two mesh, we can add the opposite of a mesh (using the flip faces tool) :

1) flip a mesh (not the brush, the other one)
2) add button....
3) Re-flip the final mesh !
4) enjoy ! Very Happy

Hope usefull....

Hi, I'm using DeleD LITE 1.81 and I just can't get this to work at all...

I am doing these steps:

1. create two meshes, 1 over lapping the other
2. flip the faces in one mesh
3. select both, with the flipped one being the second selection
4. CSG Unite command
5. flip all faces in resulting object

no polygons seem to dissappear or anything...so I don't get any holes, etc. like I would in a DeleD Pro Subtraction CSG operation.

Am I doing this wrong?

cheers,
Paul

Sorry for replying so late...

are you sure that your 2 meshes have commons parts ?

Because mathematicaly, add the opposite of something is like substracting it....

That's kind of neat, I initially thought it wouldn't work until I tried it myself, because you can't really apply regular math (like invert object a and unite a and b, so you have b - a) here, but it seems to work in this case.
