I'd like to work with a low poly terrain generator, preferably one that can export to .obj. I've done some googling but no results so far. Do you know anything? |

Not sure if this is something your after, its called Heightmap, it take a image and converts it base on the dark and light of a image. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heightmap
As for a generator idk of any atm, but hopfully there are some for the Heightmap that be can used for what you want it for. |

There used to be a heightmap generator (or even terrain?) plugin for deled I think, could be wrong though _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

Yeah Il Buzzo had written a nice little landscape generator plugin, unfortunately he never updated it to the new XML-based plugin standard so it doesn't work with any recent (or not so recent) DeleD versions. |

I used Blender for terrain generation and editing. I also wrote a node based, python scripted material to auto generate textures for it but you can do that with stencil materials too. You can also reduce polygon count when the terrain is finished.
What do you need it for? |
