Hi folks,
maybe this is a stupid question, but:
Is it "easy possible" to implement "painting on textures" in th UV-window? Usually the texture is there, and you place the uv-mapping on it. But sometimes it could be helpful to "mark" some places on your object, or darken or highlight some parts of the used texture. Or adding simple details to the texture. Now i have to alter the texture in a painting program and reloading it in the material editor. That's not "intuitive".
An alternative would be a transparent view of the uv-map in the paint-program, but i don't have photoshop. Can anyone tell me, how he/she handle this ? |

It is not a stupid question, that's for sure.
UV painting is not possible atm and as far as I know it hasn't been requested much yet (if at all?). Therefor it is rather low on our priority list. I would suggest searching for other ways to accomplish this particular goal. Did you try Paint.NET? You might be able to use the transparent view idea with that program! _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

blender( ,, ,, ,, )
Photoshop CS4
Deeppaint
