|

I would love to show off Deled's new animations in torque 3D. If you get the time, and would add animation to collada......I can do this.
Tis my request. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

Ah, yes, indeed, sorry about that.
Collada support: i'm sure PJ has something to say about that as he would be the one implementing animation support into the plugin. But he's rather busy with daily work activities atm so i'm not sure if he can answer anytime soon, or start the implementation itself for that matter.
We'll discuss this internally a.s.a.p and let you know the results. For the moment, I think your best bet would be to use the Milkshape exporter by Paul Nicholls. Export to Milkshape and use any of the Milkshape exporter plugins to get things to Collada (if possible, that is). _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! That's my current workflow, eccept deled animations can't be exported. If I need something animated, I make it in deled, export to obj, import into milkshape, animate, export to dts. If DeleD' collada exporter exports the animations, my workflow would be: Make/Animate in Deled, export to collada, import into torque. Twould make the process direct and would cut out the "middle man".
I'm in no hurry. Normally PJ or you make a note in a thread that you've seen it. I know you both are quite busy with your day jobs right now, so it's no big deal. When you get to it, you get to it. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

I'd like to bump up the priority on full Collada export, including animation.
Having to export, then inport, move, mix up, and re export is too long a work flow.
I'd liek to model, animated then export on Collada, which will then go straight into the game we are working on.
Can this be pushed up the priority list? Please. |

The Collada Exporter 2.01 plugin- does it support full animation as well as mesh ?
I'm not seeing any notes or indication of limits for this plugin.
Can anyone advise the position of this plugin please? |

The collada plugin does currently not support animation.
It will be open sourced somewhere over the next couple of days, so anyone willing to invest the time can add support. |
