|

Hey there,
Guess most of you don't know me yet so "Hello".
I am working on a Sci Fi mmo with the realmcrafter engine, and been working with DeleD for this.
Basic outline of the project: The game will take place in a persistent online universe like a regular MMo and will include most of the functions you would expect in games, however it differs slightly from regular MMO's as its focus is on raiding. By this i mean you don't level up from lv1 to whatever but instead you raid in instances (5 to 20 players) and by doing that gain new spells and armor thus improving your character.
Game world: The game will consist of the main Hub (Battlecruiser) where you gather with friends have a chat and get missions/armor/spells. From there you will travel (with transport aircrafts) to different locations where the raid instances are.
Request: Can anyone explain to me how to get the elevator to move up and down and open the door? (or point me to a tutorial )
So on to the screenshots part
Bunker.
Guarded Camp
Elevator
Elevator 2.
Hangar (Planes Leaving)
Wallpaper/MenuBackground.
BattleCruiser.
BattleCruiser.
Holographic BattleMap
RoyalSpacePort1.
RoyalSpacePort2.
RoyalSpacePort3
RoyalSpacePort4.
Shuttle.
Please assist me in making these models better and provide constructive critisism. _________________ A game is what you make of it;)

I very much like what you've created sofar. Nice, clean geometry. Be sure to keep it clean when adding new details.
If you're looking for critisism: some areas look a little blocky/cubic. I would use more soft corners. Also, I don't know if you're using prefabs, but scenes like this would really benefit from using them.
Keep it the good work! _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Thanks Jeroen, i like to keep a clean geometry as it can be a pain if the engine triangulates it resulting in something pretty messed up (learned that the hard way )
Yep been using the prefabs (comes in quite handy) for example the aircrafts are all prefabs and some of the prefabs provided by DeleD were used too
@Jeroen: Are the supplied DeleD prefabs licensed in anyway? _________________ A game is what you make of it;)

Nope, no strings attached. You can use them for whatever you like, as with all files that come with DeleD. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |
