Hi all i recently started modeling with DeleD so I'm new to this forum.
My first model in DeleD i thought id try a Colt .45 which is my favorite pistol
Not finished just the basic part of the gun. Details not done yet.
criticism appreciated
EDIT: I feel like such an idiot, i was in a real hurry so i didn't try the link or anything. Sorry about that the images are fixed

It's a bit edgy, isn't it? Not bad for a first model though. You should subdivide the larger regions and move the "inner" vertices up and down, so you have a variation in height. For round edges etc. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

Yeah...and the trigger guard is rounded on stock 1911s, not squared off, unless it's a custom job. |

Thanks for the tips guys. I know I'm trying to round off the trigger guard but I am having trouble rounding the edges of cubes.
Is there a UV mapping function for LITE? |

Yeah.. there is. Just select a viewport and hit the UV button in the toolbar (at the right). You can also use my UV-mapping plugin (NashaUV) which should be listed in the plugin-menu (Select your object before running the plugin). |

Sorry for double post but for anyone who cares i textured it.
I know the texture is horrible but its my first model and I'm happy with it.
I dont know why the texture looks so bad but thanks chronozphere for your UV editor that helped me a lot |

It looks great.
My only critique is you should use a cylendar for the barrell instead of a box. Barrels are always round. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

I think the texturing looks pretty good, especially for a first time. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Thanks guys. I'm going to use this in my game but the gun will usually be viewed from a birds eye view or far away. |
