It would be very helpful to display the size of the currently selected object somewhere. I know you can see it on the object properties thing, but it's out of the way... and not very good when you are trying to size things to keep stopping and checking with that thing.
Also, being able to turn off the grid in the 3d view only, since all it does is get in the way of seeing your stuff clearly. (At the moment anyways). |

Yes, I've already made a few preparations for that. It's on our TODO list but probably won't be in the next release just yet.

Consider it done. It's available by pressing SHIFT+F6 in the next release.
Nice suggestions, keep them coming! |

I was going to suggest the status bar, but... as I've got my table top selected, I see that the Create Window on the sidebar has no use... I'm not going to create a new cube while I have something selected... you could use that space for all kinds of info? Including things like snap methods and etc...
That would bea huge help.
Oh.. Jeroen..
BOO! |

I personally think we should try to make docking of the Object Inspector possible (again ). I would love to have it docked on the right side of the screen |

Oops, just took a quick peek, and it's actually the same size as the toolbar. I was thinking it was twice that large... Must have been thinking of the light window. So It wouldn't actually make a difference at all.
IMO, you could just replace the whole sidebar when an object is selected. |
