Yafaray Render Plugin
This plugin exports a scene from DeleD to the Yafaray XML format.
Yafaray is a powerful open source render engine that supports several global illumination methods and is relatively fast. Here is their homepage: http://www.yafaray.org/
Here is the latest test result of a scene exported with the plugin and rendered with Yafaray (of course you can do better):

DOWNLOAD:
http://www.worldaxis3d.net/YafarayRenderer.zip
The source code will be released at some point too.
Usage
1. Download and install Yafaray: http://www.yafaray.org/download
THE INSTALLATION DIRECTORY MAY NOT CONTAIN SPACES! INSTALL TO "C:\YafaRay" IF UNSURE. YOU MAY ALSO NEED TO DOWNLOAD BLENDER TO FINISH THE INSTALLATION OF YAFARAY. SORRY FOR THAT!
2. Download the plugin and put it in the "plugins" directory from DeleD (2 files).
3. Create or load a scene with DeleD, including models and lights.
4. Create a camera target dummy. Any object (cube for example) will do. Name it "CAM_TO"! The dummy object will not be rendered.
5. Create a second camera dummy, the camera position! Name it "CAM_FROM"!
6. Run the plugin...
7. Wait a minute and open the resulting TGA to see the result.
- There is currently no render window, just a console. -
-WORK IN PROGRESS- If you use it please give back feedback. Questions are welcome!

It's like I said: there's no end to the awesomeness of such a plugin. Excellent work there! _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Its actually pretty easy to write such a plugin, i wonder why nobody has thought of it before, especially because many people use DeleD for still scenes modelling. I also plan to write a Pov-Ray plugin. |

Excellent!
About the sources, would you feel comfortable hosting the source and binaries at https://sourceforge.net/projects/deled-plugins/develop? I can setup you up with an account and an initial upload of the source, and get you full access rights to the svn repository. That way we can keep all the plugins together in one place.
But only if you feel comfortable with the idea of having your source opened up and in a shared repository, of course. |

Ok, i uploaded a first version. Yes i would be honored to contribute it to the deled plugins but it uses third party code (Expat; BSD license, see above) and its written in C. ... if thats its not a problem! |
